Matt Nissley

Managing Director


Matt Nissley is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed by the State Board of Accountancy in Pennsylvania, USA. He started his career in 2008 at an accounting firm where he quickly advanced in the accounting and audit department, performing audits and preparing tax returns for NGOs and businesses in many different industries. Matt proceeded to join an international microfinance network and traveled around the world to consolidate numerous subsidiaries into a single set of consolidated financial statements. Through these opportunities Matt gained extensive experience implementing and strengthening financial systems for small and mid-sized businesses. Matt has lived in Afghanistan continuously since 2013 and has learned the language and culture while using his professional knowledge to serve a broad range of organizations in Afghanistan.

Ezatullah Zaki

Financial Manager & Business Associate


Ezatullah Zaki graduated from Kabul University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and is partially ACCA-qualified. Prior to joining Quest Financial Services in 2015, Ezatullah worked for three years with Hope For Life Microfinance Company where his high level of performance led to multiple promotions and significant leadership responsibility as Financial Controller. Ezatullah specializes in general financial management including policies and procedures, internal controls, general ledger reconciliations, accrual accounting, efficient monthly close, financial reporting, and Afghan tax law. Ezatullah has set up financial systems for multiple Afghan businesses and NGOs during his time with Quest, demonstrating his proficiency in technical matters while providing mentoring and ongoing support to client finance staff and internal Quest team members. Ezatullah now serves as a member of Quest’s Leadership Team.

Rasoul Istalifi

Project and Business Development Manager


Mr. Rasoul Istalifi holds an MBA degree from MIM (Modern Institute of Management) in New Delhi, India and a bachelor’s degree from Herat University. Mr. Istalifi has worked in different capacities with well-established organizations within Afghanistan. He has worked as a Branch Manager in Afghan United Bank for 3 years and Branch Manager in Afghanistan Commercial Banks for 2 years, where he managed a large portfolio of daily operations of the Herat main branch. Mr. Istalifi then went on to work as a Deputy CEO in Avison Pharma Medicine Manufacturing Company where he managed the overall performance of Avison Pharma with focus in HR and finance departments. Currently Mr. Istalifi is a part-time economic lecturer at Ghalib University and is also working full-time with Quest as Project and Business Development Manager.

Shamim Ali

HR/Admin Supervisor


Shamim Ali gained significant experience in administration by serving simultaneously as the Assistant Director of the London Educational Academy and Principal of the London English Grammar High School for seven years in Quetta, Pakistan. After returning to Afghanistan in 2012, she worked for four years with the Business Innovation Hub of AUAF, responsible for general administration as well as providing BDS services to three Afghan businesses. Shamim joined Quest in 2018 and currently oversees all of Quest’s administrative functions with excellence. Shamim also serves as a member of Quest’s Leadership Team

Alijan Safari

Accounting Supervisor


Alijan Safari graduated from Pune University in India in 2014 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In 2019, he completed his MBA at Bakhtar University in Kabul. Alijan has four years of professional experience, having worked at Poshak Instanbul as a Senior Finance Officer and gaining extensive experience in managing QuickBooks for a 250+ employee organization before joining Quest as a Senior Accountant in 2018. Alijan has assisted with QuickBooks setups and is currently managing QuickBooks and tax work for several of Quest’s client.

Ghulam Sakhi Ahmadyar

Accounting Supervisor


Ghulam Sakhi Ahmadyar graduated from bachelor of business administration (BBA) specialization in Finance & Accounting from University of Bangalore- India in 2017, having extensive knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software, Afghanistan Taxation Law and currently has completed 4 papers of ACCA. He has three years of professional experience in the field of Finance and Accounting, worked with Fanoos Accounting Services as an Accounting Technician and as an Assistant Finance Manager with Miad-Eiffel road and construction company prior to joining Quest as a Senior Accountant in 2019. Ghulam Sakhi is currently managing outsourced financial department tasks and tax work for several of Quest’s client.

Abdul Hafiz Niaz

Accounting Supervisor


Abdul Hafiz Niaz is graduated from the Institute of accounting and administration in 2013 with a diploma in Banking, and from Mashal University of Higher Education in 2018 with a bachelor of business and administration (specialization in finance). Before joining Quest in November 2019, Abdul Hafiz has worked as an Audit senior in Crowe Horwath Afghanistan from 2014 to 2018, Audit Supervisor in Lynxeyed Chartered Accountants form 2018 to November 2019 and as a part-time Financial Advisor form 2018 to July 2019. Hafiz Niaz has auditing experience of Banking, telecommunication, Media, Construction, Airline, Manufacturing, Non-Government Agencies, and government agencies.

Wahidullah Akmal

Senior Accountant


Wahidullah Akmal Graduated from Institute of Accounting and Administration of Kabul in 2016 with an associate's degree in Business administration and currently has 7 ACCA papers completed. Prior to Joining Quest Financial services as a Staff Accountant in 2020, Wahid worked for more than 3 years with Government, International NGOs, International trading Companies in audit, accounting and finance section. Wahid Akmal has set up financial systems for multiple afghan businesses as a finance mentor with Quest financial services demonstrating his proficiency in finance, Tax and professional accounting.

Sohrab Rahimi

Admin Officer


Sohrab Rahimi is doing his bachelors in Computer Science at Allama Institute of Higher Education with an anticipated finish date of 2019. He also has a diploma in information technology (DIT) from Microsoft Education Center. Sohrab has more than three years of professional experience in Administration which includes working as an Office Assistance with Arghandewal Printing Press and then joining Quest as Deputy Admin Officer with Quest in 2017. He is also familiar working with programing languages including Java, C++, C, MY SQL Server, SQL Server, and Oracle.

Hosein Ali Yaqubi

Staff Accountant


Hosein Ali Yaqubi graduated from Kateb University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Business Economics and has completed 7 ACCA papers. He worked for one year with Roman Sam Audit Company where he demonstrated his accounting knowledge with consistency and commitment before joining Quest Financial Services as a Staff Accountant in 2018.

Ali Sina Khawari

Staff Accountant


Ali Sina Khawari graduated from Kabul University in 2019 with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and currently studying ACCA. Prior to joining Quest Financial Services as a Staff Accountant in 2020, Ali Sina worked for more than one year with Advanced Accounting LLC where his high level of performance led to join multiple projects & assignments as a Staff Accountant. Ali Sina has set up financial systems and fixed asset registers for multiple Afghan businesses and universities during his employment with AALLC, demonstrating his proficiency in accounting and financial management.
